Organization of 5S ribosomal DNA of Litchi chinensis Sonn.

Aim. 5S ribosomal DNA (5S rDNA) represents a universal model for studying the evolution of repeated sequences in eukaryotic organisms. Taking into account that this region genome still remains almost undescribed species family Sapindaceae, we investigated molecular organization unit rDNA member family, Litchi chinensis. Methods. PCR amplification, cloning and sequencing rDNA. Results. It was found length L. chinensis is 321 -323 bp. The level intragenomic similarity repeats 87.1 %. Potential external elements RNA polymerase III promoter, which are localized IGS, differ from those described members other families angiosperms. Conclusions. In chinensis, at least two classes present, sequence promoter elements.
